I had the pleasure of meeting Amber at a bridal show last year. I saw her work and loved it from the start. Amber took some headshots of me a couple of months ago and she was so easy going and professional. She is definitely one of my go-to photographers. Please take the time to check out Photos by Amber. Pink Bella: Tell us about Photos by Amber
PBA: Photos by Amber is a full sevice Photography business specializing in weddings and on location shoots. Photos by Amber has some of the most competitive prices in the state.
Pink Bella: How long have you been in the business of photography?
PBA: I have worked full time in photography for the past three years. Before that I did part time work for friends and family.
Pink Bella: How did you go about getting your first client?
PBA: I got my first paying wedding by handing out cards and exhibiting my work at a bridal show.
Pink Bella: What initially interested you in photography?
PBA: I've loved the camera since I was 4 years old. I started out with one of those really old polaroid cameras, the ones that spit out the photo immediatley. It was a fun way to discover photography as a child. I was also a model at the age of 16. I decided then that I liked creating the images rather than being in them.
Pink Bella: Describe your photography style
PBA: My style is a mix of traditional and photojournalistic. I like different angles and poses. The most important thing to me is that my clients have a great time.
Pink Bella: What services/products do you provide?
PBA: I provide wedding photography as well as on location photography for portraits. I can do in studio work but prefer not to. I offer Digital Coffee Table albums from Zookbinders. I can also offer many different print products.
Pink Bella: Is there a current trend in photography? If so, what would you say is that trend?
PBA: I would say the current trend in photography is photojournalistic. It portrays real life in an artistic manner. It allows the subjects to move freely and be comfortable while still allowing the photographer to be creative.
Pink Bella: If you could work along side any one photographer, who would it be?
PBA: David Ziser. He is a great wedding photographer and I would love to learn some of his lighting techniques.
Pink Bella: Offer some suggestions for clients when preparing for a session.
PBA: When you're going to have your portrait done, try to relax and have fun. The more comfortable you are the better the photos will be. Also remember that you chose a particular photographer for their artistic eye, in other words their perspective of you. Be a little flexible for the photographer when posing you'll get some really great photos if you co-operate.
